Introduction

Have you seen the TED Talks?

Starting back in 1984 they began bringing together people in California from different professions -- from Technology, Entertainment, and Design, which is where they got "TED" -- to surprise each other with eye-opening discussions.

We could do something similar here in the Chattanooga area:  making connections between unexpected audiences and unlikely speakers, sharing ideas across the board, outside the box, above the normal level of conversation -- reaching a Summit of understanding more about each other and revealing more about our community.

It's all about serendipity, up on the Summit -- the name for this part of the Community Communication Project. Climb with us and check out the view.

Come to the initial meeting for this Action on Wednesday, 7/25/12, at 4 pm at the Mountain Arts Community Center (MACC, 809 Kentucky Ave, Signal Mountain).

You can RSVP on Facebook or actions.communify.org, or email join@communify for more information.

The Action

This is a new Action, part of the Community Communication ProjectYou can get involved today at actions.communify.org.

WHAT: Gathering together unexpected audiences for sharing ideas.
WHY: It’s easy to get tunnel vision and not realize that a solution for a problem has already been invented by a neighbor.
HOW: Hold talks and seminars with a wide cross-section of people with different interests. Track the most interesting topics. Record the talks and presentations. Share with the community.
